I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. – 2 Tim. 4:7
Before you burn the bridge behind you, you need to be sure that you are on course with God’s purpose for your life. Some people begin their journey in life on a good start. They were on course with destiny. Suddenly, there were lured off track and their destinies were ruined beyond human comprehension. The possibility of redeeming some who swayed from the right course became impossible; not because their redemption is beyond God’s capacity but rather because they fell from the redemptive grace of God.
Hence, you need to beware of the choices that can get you sidetracked from pursuing with vengeance God’s mandate for your life. As a relentless runner, you need to run with perseverance the race set before you and stay on track with God’s purpose for your life. Having gone this far in your pursuit to finish your race, you can’t afford to draw back. Therefore, you shouldn't allow discouragement to put the brakes on your passion and zeal for God and for the accomplishment of God’s purpose for your life.
Apostle Paul wrote, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.” He stayed on track to fulfil his ministry. While some of his ministry partners, like Demas, chose to draw back, Apostle Paul pressed forward towards the ultimate goal. He stayed focused and remained on track with God’s purpose for his life. Are you drawing back from the mandate of God for your life? It doesn’t pay off if you are. Any attempt to go off course will ultimately make you to feel guilty about your choice. Hence, stick to God and He will stick by you to help you fulfil His purpose for your life. May you not go off track as you remain within the circumference of God’s purpose for your life in Jesus name.
