Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. - Ps. 27:14
God cannot be put under pressure before He acts on your behalf. You cannot bribe Him with your treasure before He demonstrates His goodness and loving-kindness. God moves and does as He pleases. However, if your petition to Him is not a rendition of complaints; He may decide to give you a surprise pack that will blow your mind, at a time faster than you could imagine. If your petition is void of ungodly motive and is filed before His throne with a heart that believes in His fidelity, He will not turn you down nor hold His response in abeyance. However, when it appears as if He is not forthcoming, you can count on Him, because He won’t allow His word to falter nor fail.
The promises of God do not always deliver to us microwave miracles. His vision for our lives do not always result in instantaneous manifestation. Because God wants to give you the best, your patience may be tested and when you pass the test, you can be guaranteed unmitigated rest from limitation, inadequacies and unfulfilled promises and dreams. When God gives you a promise, your ability to wait upon Him is an essential virtue you need in order to hope against hope.
Waiting on the Lord may not necessarily come ease when it seems as if the whole world is about to fall on you. However, it is the attitude that never makes you to grumble and question the integrity of the promise of God. Anyone who fails to question the integrity of God in the days of adversity is someone whom the Lord will profile as a man after His heart. Aside from being a man of praise, David was a man who also chose to wait upon the Lord. He was never in a haste to be made the next king of Israel especially when his adversary, King Saul, fell into his hands. Do you have high hopes in the Lord for a change? Don’t give up on Him, He is working out a miracle for you to shout about. May the Lord hasten to perform everything that He has promised you as you keep your eyes on Him in Jesus name.
